Macdonald Kilhey Court

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I have just been reading an article released by Serco and that the Hotel in Standish, KILHEY COURT is moving ALL the illegal migrants from March 2024 ,but ,,Apparently that has been brought forward to December 21 2023 The hotel is going to be re-spruced up and opened up to the general populous once more , a victory for all the residents of STANDISH , So now we can all get back to visiting the hotel & resteraunt for special occasions again .

GB people should vote with their feet and give it a wide berth. They S**T on the public who used the hotel plus all of the wedding venues that had to be cancelled. So I hope they have to close down

GB, it may be better if they stayed there, they have to go some where, and
where will that be?

I understand those feelings but if the hotel isn't used by the public , the govt may as well use it for migrants again .

They may have removed the migrants earlier because the owners Mc Donalds may have decided to sell the property or have even sold the property and it may not be for further use as a hotel.

Private Housing complex, private hospital or even demolition for yet another housing estate in Standish will yield them more profit than trying to keep it going as a hotel, especially after all the negative publicity.

Serco and the government would have took out a very lucrative contract for the hotel. They have decided for what ever reasons it is surplus to requirements but I bet they will have to pay for the length of the contract

That is what I think, because a contract is a contract, but I think it was only a six month contract, but Owd Codger makes some interesting comments as to whether the owner's of Kilhey Court have other plans for the site other than for it to continue as a hotel.

If it becomes a private hospital as the NHS is sold off to America, as our Whupsy keeps telling us, it could be an ideal location for such a place, but a bloody long bus ride from Downhall Green

In the last two years the owners of Kilhey Court have sold 2 hotels yielding a profit of £40 million. They stated that they have no plans to sell any more.
In year 2000 they used a subsidiary company to buy hotels for housing immigrants. The company is kept at arm’s length from the MacDonald hotels group.

They must have short arms, Gaffer.
All they have done is drop the "Macdonald" from the Kilhey Court.

An extremely very, very poor attempt to "sugar coat " their activities.

Have just received the latest copy of Lancashire Life Magazine.
Inside there is a double page advert for Kilhey Court offering Weddings
and Spa Bookings for 2024.
Looks like they are re - opening.

They will need more than a advertisement in the snobby Lancashire Life magazine to make it into a top class wedding facility again after the bad publicity about migrants being there!
